How Much Tile Waste Should I account for?

How much tile should I order is another popular questions we get asked quite often.   The first thing you need to determine is how much square footage you are looking to cover whether on your floor, countertop or wall.  First and foremost you'll need to measure your length and your width and then you'll be able  to factor in waste for cuts and/or any breakage during install.   The industry average uses a 10 % waste factor, however, sometimes if your area is small but you are using a bigger tile you'll want to factor in more waste, or if your surface space is larger but  you're using smaller tile, you may be able  to  factor in less waste.

We recommend regardless it is always best to consult with your installer as they will have some plan in place for your particular space.
